Quarter Sawn White Oak

Full-height quarter sawn white oak slab fronts, dark stained base cabinets and a black waterfall island.

Quarter sawn white oak is cut to show the medullary ray rather than the cathedral grain, which is why these slab fronts read as calm instead of busy. The run is full height on both walls, with the refrigerator and pantry doors panelled in so the wall stays unbroken, and edge pulls keep the fronts clean.

The lower cabinets and glass-front uppers are stained a dark espresso to frame the marble backsplash and the brass hood. The island is finished in black with a waterfall return and seating for four. Grain was matched across adjoining doors before anything was cut.
